Großarl Chapel Trail

Pure relaxation for mind and soul

At each chapel, one of the 10 commandments has been rephrased into a good wish that should accompany everyone on their (life’s) path. The starting point for the chapel trail is the parish church in Großarl. The path leads in the direction of Hüttschlag, passing the Laireiting, Bichl, Figler, Griesbichl, Neuhof and Schappach chapels. You then reach the church in Hüttschlag. Continue towards the end of the valley. You will come to the Wolfau, Karteis, Maurach and Hubertus chapels. The final chapel is the Pertill Chapel at the end of the valley in Hüttschlag. This chapel was built in gratitude for a safe return from the Second World War. It should also inspire us to say THANK YOU.

The trail is about 16.5 km long and you can of course walk the chapel trail in several stages. You can find more details here!

Time in nature, time to live!

Even on the drive to Großarl you can feel the serenity of the mountain world. Unique and overwhelming, the Alps present themselves radiant white or lush green. It’s time to experience this feeling!
