Climbing in the Alps

3 fixed rope routes in Großarl and Hüttschlag
For beginners there is a somewhat shorter and easier practice fixed rope route called “Gletschergoaß” (difficulty level A – C, length: 150 m, height: 50 m).

New in 2012 is the fixed rope route “Franzl” (named after its builder Richard Franzl) with a length of 400 metres and a height of 210 metres, difficulty level: C – D.

Further climbing opportunities in the Großarltal are offered by the fixed rope route “Bella Cascinaia” on the Saukarkopf (2,048 m) and about 10 climbing routes of varying difficulty on the Schuhflicker (2,214 m) and its pre-summits. A fixed rope route set and a helmet are absolutely necessary for the fixed rope routes.

Time in nature, time to live!

Even on the drive to Großarl you can feel the serenity of the mountain world. Unique and overwhelming, the Alps present themselves radiant white or lush green. It’s time to experience this feeling!
