Due to its child-friendliness, Großarl is the ideal starting point for a summer family vacation in the mountains. The Hotel Kathrin offers appropriate family offers. Many varied family hikes and various children’s activities are offered right next door at the adventure playground.
Only 2 minutes walk from the Hotel Kathrin there is the adventure playground: “Rucki Zucki’s Gaudi Alm”. Lots of fun and games on 4,500 m2 with children’s alpine pasture, mini farm, mountain stream, alpine lake, crystal mine, playground equipment, mini golf, tennis, beach volleyball and a heated outdoor pool with slides and jumping towers. Our kitchen is the heart of our hotel. There our chef conjures up coordinated menu creations and spoils our guests with the highest quality and regional variety. Also our little guests are always very satisfied: Classic “children’s specialties” like schnitzel or spaghetti are of course also available. In summer we like to serve dinner in our cozy guest garden or barbecue outside – an experience for the whole family!
Fresh, regional products, passion and care – we are proud to be the only hotel in the Großartal to have been awarded the AMA Gastrosiegel 9 times in a row.

Hotel Kathrin is the ideal retreat after an exciting day in the mountains of the Grossarl Valley. With us the whole family will find relaxation and new strength for the next day. Our rooms and apartments are equipped with partially separated children’s rooms as well as spacious master bedroom, small kitchenette and sitting area. In addition, you can enjoy the vacation atmosphere on your own balcony or in our cozy garden.
